※ Avec cette œuvre le regretté Jacques Lacheny réalise une merveille. Le caractère tellurique, aérien et radical de son travail en Puisaye rencontre l'héritage japonais dans cette pièce dédiée à l'ikebana -l'art de composer des bouquets. La forme est splendide, légère, elle se détache du sol à partir d'un étroit pied plein et stable. La coupe forme une vasque ou l'eau s'épanouit en douceur pour recouvrir le pique-fleur (formant kenzan) sous un miroir d'eau. S'y condense le meilleur de l'œuvre rare de Lacheny : où comment créer un microcosme de jardin nippon sur une table basse.

※ With this work, the late Jacques Lacheny created a marvel. The earthy, ethereal, and radical character of his work in Puisaye meets Japanese heritage in this piece dedicated to ikebana—the art of flower arranging. The form is splendid and light, rising from the ground on a narrow, solid, and stable base. The bowl forms a basin where water gently cascades over the flower frog (forming a kenzan) beneath a mirror of water. Herein lies the essence of Lacheny's rare work : the ability to create a microcosm of a Japanese garden on a table.
